A recent EU study suggests that about 80% of a product/project’s carbon footprint is decided upon within the design and engineering process. Therefore it is key to apply eco-design principles into the creative process.

Together with our creative house we develop tools and processes and share best practices to maximize the effectiveness of our design work.

Our design teams frequently use our material database and samples in order to choose more environmentally friendly materials that are in line with our sustainability goals – eliminating the bad (e.g. PVC, virgin materials, plastics, etc.) and replacing them with better alternatives (regrowing, recycled, etc.).

Principles such as reduce, reuse, replace, design to recycle and rethinking the status quo are part of our daily design work.
